Dave Howard is a singer songwriter who has also performed as The Dave Howard Singers and DeVoured. Since the early 1980’s he has played the around the world; from as far west as Vancouver to Novosibersk in central Siberia and most points in between.
While living in the U.K. for the better part of a decade, he released a number of recordings, was featured on many compilation LP’s, as well as British television appearances including Channel 4’s landmark music show ‘The Tube’. The video for his single ‘Yon Yonson’ was premiered on ITV’s Saturday morning flagship music programme ‘The Chart Show’ where it charted for a month and a half. The D.H.S. recorded radio sessions for BBC’s Radio 1’s Janice Long and Liz Kershaw shows. An album entitled ‘It’s About Time’ was released in 1991. And in April 2007 he released a compilation CD of his first four EPs under the title of ‘What Your Girlfriend Threw Out, Or Your Friend Never Returned.’
He’s also performed in a burlesque band Jack The Ripper for several years with Paul “Thwak” Laventhol of King Kurt. And formed a duet with drummer Keith McInnis called “Me & Keith” playing live House.
Dave met Jaymz Bee one night in ’83 after refusing to stick his finger into a pot of honey. During the summer of 2001 he produced an album for Jaymz called “Sub Urban”, where they laughed hard every day. When the idea of Bonzai Suzuki was first discussed Dave’s thoughts were, “hell yeah.”
